11:15 AM: The Big East has dropped its $5 million lawsuit against TCU for the Horned Frogs joining the Big 12 instead of their conference. The lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice, meaning it can't be refiled.

11:00 AM: Oklahoma State basketball coach Travis Ford testified Wednesday in the sexual assault trial of suspended player Darrell Williams: "[Williams] has proven to me that he did not do this. If I believed he had done this and had direct evidence I would have dismissed him from the team."

10:45 AM: Alabama football coach Nick Saban said Thursday that anyone who is arguing for only conference champions to be allowed in the NCAA FBS four-team playoff is "talking against the SEC".

10:30 AM: The Chronicle of Higher Education reports that due to the Jerry Sandusky scandal, the Big Ten might consider kicking Penn State out of the conference. Another proposal would grant Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany the authority to fire school coaches himself.

9:00 PM: A Toledo, Ohio boxer was arrested Tuesday for his part in a 2009 bank robbery after an FBI agent was able to match DNA from a bloodied Q-Tip discarded during a fight last April.
